We have recently found a report in the archives of the Cambridge Antiquarian Society.    It  refers to a visit to Gamlingay in 1910  by the Rev F G Walker  to see  the disused brick pit known as the Belle Vue Brick Works.   It is in the form of a lecture to the Society in 1910 and describes his walks around the area with a detailed map and illustrates finds of Neolithic flints.   He gives his thanks to the farmer Henry Dew for his permission to walk his fields.   The 1911  census shows Henry Dew living at The Cross in Gamlingay.
