With kind permission of Merton college and of their farm Manager here locally, GamArch has each Autumn since 2013 been allowed to conduct archaeological fieldwalking exercises on Merton land at Dutter End, Gamlingay.

The results have been very useful in furthering our understanding of the history of that area and we have a couple of interim reports of the investigations here on the website. The most comprehensive of the reports is Avenels Fieldwalking 2013-2015 . It has good illustrations of finds distributions etc but as it’s a .pdf file you’ll need Adobe Acrobat or a similar pdf viewer to read it.
